Trip Introduction
Though the country has many fortresses, Bhutan’s designation as the Land of the Thunder Dragon is believed to come from an incredible storm that occurred during the construction of the Ralung Monastery. This tour introduces visitors to Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage, landscapes, cities, landmarks, fortresses, temples, and monasteries. This trip is for anyone who has ever wanted to see the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, or visit a country so uniquely beautiful that it is unofficially named after a thunder storm.
