Trip Overview
The Paro to Phuentsholing tour was designed as an introduction to the Bhutanese lifestyle and landscape, while acting as a prelude into north east India. This tour is also ideal for participants who would like to pass through Bhutan and continue their adventure.
The tour begins in the Paro Valley with visits to the Rinpung fortress and the Kichu Lhakhang Temple. The following day the tour hikes to the world famous Tiger’s Nest monastery. The tour continues to Thimphu to visit the King’s Memorial Stupa, a nunnery temple, and other landmarks. Continuing to Phuentsholing, the tour takes a scenic drive to Punakha, crossing the Dochu La Pass, forests, and ice fields. The following day, the tour embarks to Gangtey, an area known for its stone and slate carvings, and for its beautiful views of the mountains. The tour concludes in the town of Phuentsholing, which has a unique culture, with both Bhutanese and Indian influences.
