Trip Overview
The Mustang Trek is extremely unique in all aspects. It provides an experience that is unobtainable on all other treks. Not only is it one of few treks that are permitted during the rainy season from June to September, it is the only trek that permits people to visit the forbidden kingdom of Lo, which wasn’t available to outsiders until the 1990’s.
The Mustang Trek is reminiscent of a Salvador Dali painting. The high mountain desert plateau overlooks a barren landscape complete with red cliffs and caves once used by Buddhists and Bon to perform ceremonies and rituals. Time seems to melt into the rocks that are scattered along the trail.
